Image Gallery:
A Loom Tapestry favourite and a top seller. Click image for full tapestry above. This tapestry hanging dates from the end of the 15th Century. The Unicorn is believed to represent the beloved tamed. Although he is tethered to a tree and constrained by a fence, the chain is not secure and the fence is low. The Unicorn could, therefore escape if he wished; his confinement is a happy one. The pomegranates in the tree are a medieval symbol of fertility and marriage. Original tapestry is on display in the Cloisters Collection at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Size: H x W
